Bethany M. Sloane, PT, DPT, PCS

Co-Director Go Baby Go Oregon; Pediatric Physical Therapist at Oregon Health & Science University

I have been directing the Portland chapter of Go Baby Go Oregon since 2014. Since my first involvement with this group I was drawn to the innovation, creativity, and fun ways to connect all kids to play, mobility, and participation!

Heather Higashi, PT, DPT, PCS

I am a pediatric physical therapist working in Early Intervention at Northwest Regional ESD and am adjunct faculty in the PT program at Pacific University. I began volunteering at Go Baby Go events in 2017 as a PT student and joined the committee in 2021. Go Baby Go sparked my passion for creating accessible and inclusive play opportunities for children and I love being on a committee with like-minded people who exude creativity, innovation, and fun.

Product Development Engineer at Integer Holdings Corporation

Mechanical Engineer

Go Baby Go Committee Member since 2019

During my college experience, I had many opportunities to see first-hand how engineering can be used with a human focus to enhance the lives by making people the tools and devices they need to thrive. I fell in love with the human-centered field of medical device/assistive technology design work. Go Baby Go is an amazing program where I get to see first hand how the work that I do to help adapt these cars, toys, and books impacts the life of a child who immediately takes the device and takes off, free to express themselves and explore their world in new ways. There is nothing quite like it!

Kady Bruce

I am a third year occupational therapy student at Pacific University. I joined the Go Baby Go committee in 2023 after completing my capstone project with them. By being part of the committee, I hope to improve the community awareness of the resources available through Go Baby Go and help provide adapted play opportunities to as many children as possible.

I am an occupational therapist and was lucky enough to become more involved with Go Baby Go working in the Early Access to Assistive Technology clinic at Oregon Health & Science University. I’ve recently helped to coordinate the events at the access play nights at the Portland Children’s Museum. I love getting to see the kiddos that we work with getting to move, explore books, and play on their own for the very first time!
